About us

We have Signode in our blood. Modern Tool Service was started in 1987 by Michael Burrows. Michael's father and grandfather were both long time employees of Signode and his grandfather being an engineer and part of the design teams that produced many of the tools you use today. We have Signode authorized training certificates as well as Orgapack and Fromm.
We are a true hands-on repair shop in that we do actual repairs as opposed to flat rate and costly rebuilds like many factory repair facilities. Without extensive experience like ourselves, flat rebuilds are the only way for many shops and factories to operate, thus the high cost.
We are known for our reliablity and no-tools-coming-back approach, and without the high costs.
